PUTNAM cOUNTY'S FILM FESTIVAL

VOB Film FEstival

Thanks for your interest in submitting to the 2017 VOB Film Festival.  Our festival seeks out new and creative films that will entertain, enlighten and bring something different to our audiences.  Film makers from all over the world have visited the VOB Film Festival and have experienced the friendly and exciting atmosphere that we offer.  Our annual festival is Labor Day Weekend - August 31st to September 3rd.

Putnam County is an hour north of New York City and provides a great backdrop for independent film makers. We offer unique venues, engaged audiences and the charm of small and diverse towns.  Our festival screens films in venues that include historic churches, quaint railroad towns and working farms.

This year, we are offering a $250 prize for the winner of our Jury Award of our annual festival.   To submit your film please read the following:

For our annual festival

• Film must have been completed after 1/1/2015
• All submissions must be in a digital format. We no longer accept DVDs for screeners or accepted films.
• Accepted films must provide a digital download from a password protected website. No DVDs are accepted for accepted films.
• You authorize the VOB Film Festival to promote your film and use it for advertising and promotion for a period of two years after acceptance without compensation. 
• Submissions are authorized only through FilmFreeway and WithoutABox.
• You will be notified by June 30th, 2017 if your film is accepted.

For our monthly series

• Winners of our monthly film nights are automatically entered to the annual festival. You do not need a separate submission. Winning the monthly series does not guarantee entry into the annual festival.
  
• Film makers will be notified two weeks before the screening of the film at our independent film center in Carmel, NY
